I’ll Keep on Praising Him – Jan 13

By Lynda Hartati

“I will bless the Lord at all times and His praise shall continually be in my mouth” Psalm 34:1.

Another year has passed and another new year will soon fly and it goes on and on again. If we think about it, time really goes so fast. We come to church on Sunday, listen to nice sermons and on the weekdays we study or work, and the cycle continues. Some people might think it’s boring, some others might think that’s how their life is destined to be. But is this how you want your life to be? The answer is yours. I believe all of us know that God has planned something good for us, especially better than today. However do we understand that whatever we do, we are to please God?

Then what should I do to please God? Well the answer is whether you love Him back or not. When we realised that God is a God of Love then we know for sure that He is good, He is merciful and kind. He wants to bless us and enjoy our lives. No matter what situation we are facing right now, whether uncertainty, fear, facing health issues, bankruptcies, let us keep on embracing His love and stay faithful to Him. I have once read a daily devotion by Joseph Prince, on Romans 4:20 “He (Abraham) staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God”. The word “glory” means “to have a good opinion of” so while Abraham was waiting on God for his miracle, Abraham simply had a good opinion of God.

In this season of summer of abundant harvest, some of us may already have seen it coming, some of us may experience the opposite. But whatever it is, let us keep on praising Him at all times, every seasons of our lives, we declare His goodness and mercy until our heart cannot be shaken, until no other days will be wasted. Because we know for sure that God is so good to us.
