What/Who is the Centre of Your Life – Feb 12

by Gabriel Michael Salim

Jesus at the centre is a new song from Free Chapel Band feat. Israel Houghton in their album called ECHO. This song has been a hit since the first time it was sang by Israel Houghton in Hillsong Conference 2011. This is a very strong and influential song for me, and I believe it will be too for all the readers.

How long have we been living as a Christian? 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, or maybe since the day we were born. My question now, how do we live our Christian life? Are we still thinking about ourselves? Do other people see Jesus in our life? Do we have an impact outside our church? Does our actions are for Jesus’ glory or our own glory? Who/What is actually the centre of our Christian life? Before continue reading, I would like to encourage you to take a few minutes to think about those questions and answer it honestly in your hearts.

This song is easy to sing, but it is hard to live, yet  I believe by His grace alone we can make Jesus as the centre of our life and nothing else in this world will matters to us.

Do you know the main purpose God create us is not to live in this world,  we are actually made for eternity. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that “…He has planted eternity in the human heart,…”

We have to understand that our life right now is just a preparation for the eternal life that God has prepared for every single one of us. Therefore we will focus on what is pleasing God’s heart and I believe if we allow Jesus as the centre of our life, all our actions will be for God’s glory alone.

This is the time for all of us to reflect back to our heart, whether we have already put Jesus as the centre of everything in our life – until nothing else matters in this world as long as we have Jesus. Hebrew 12:2 “Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and the perfecter of faith….’

God Bless You !
